Great design and well made
By AtomicStew
I bought this walking desk after seeing a similar product in an office setting. It takes some getting used to and do not expect to be able to do all the things you might at a sitting desk. You will have to adapt your day-to-day office habits to be able to use this as a work desk. Fine for phone, reading email, ect, but hard to write notes and typing. Or rather, I should say, I have not mastered the ability to do so yet.
The treadmill showed up in two large boxes, one was 80 pounds the other was 100 pound. The delivery guys will only bring it to your door so if you want it hauled to the upstairs or basement, better get a friend to help. Assembly was very easy and all tools needed were included. I was impressed by the quality of the materials and sturdiness of the desk. My only complaint is that the treadmill is a bit more noisy than I expected but you can still have a phone conversation without any problems.

Spec-fing-tacular
By David V
My wife bought the Lifespan Treadmill Desk for me on Cyber Monday in 2012. I've been using it daily for almost 5 months now.
Combined with some serious diet changes and a compulsive MMO habit, I've walked through 2 pair of shoes and 40 lbs since it arrived. Seriously, I couldn't imagine life without it at this point.

Don't worry about the bluetooth unless you want to geek out...
By Steven D. Edgett
The desk and treadmill are very high quality products and after putting in about 20 miles on the treadmill it seemed appropriate to try the bluetooth. Imagine my surprise when I tried to make the connection only to find that the apps can only be downloaded if one sends the vendor $70 to join the Lifespan Fitness Club. After querying the company, they pointed out that my package was supposed to include a free membership in the LFS and then forwarded a number to insert. The bluetooth application, which I've now used, needs an interface which is non-nerd-like. After getting it to work, I find it is not sufficiently useful that I'll use it to record my exercise.
I will say that the support from Lifespan was excellent and after getting about 50 miles on my treadmill, I'm happier than ever with it. For those who are wondering, I find I can answer emails even at 2.5 mph and watch TV or surf the net at even higher speeds. It is an extraordinary challenge to type carefully while walking, but great fun. For those in their 50's and higher, there is an added benefit to the treadmill desktop combo, and that is to energize the mind and keep it active. Walking and staying on the treadmill while simultaneously typing is a grand mental and physical challenge.
I hope the review is more upbeat than the last, as I am very satisfied with the product.

Product Description
We won't take credit for inventing the Treadmill Desk — we'll give that credit to Dr. James Levine from the Mayo Clinic. But we will take credit for making a better mousetrap. The TR800-DT Treadmill Desk was designed around how you work. It includes a sturdy work surface measuring 46.5" wide and 31" deep to easily support your laptop, printer, computer display and other electronics devices. The treadmill console is conveniently located in the front of the desk so it doesn't take space away from the working surface. for comfort and convenience, the TR800-DT includes padded arm rests to ensure lasting comfort, and clean cable management with a cable tray tucked under the desk to store your cables. The display panel shows distance travelled, calories burned, time walking on the treadmill desk, and the Intelli-Step feature works like a pedometer and counts steps taken while you're working.
