Very Good Machine
By Jan Jan
My boyfriend and I purchased The T 12.80 to give us another option to the gym. There are just days when you don't feel like getting dressed, packing your gym bag and driving to the gym. The convenience of having such a versatile piece of cardio equipment in your home, gives you no excuse not to exercise. Plus instead of just sitting on the couch watching a news program or one of my TV shows (or even a movie), now I can exercise while doing the same. It's just that much easier.
The machine is VERY heavy. It took two grown men (and my BF is quite strong) to get this into our home. The assembly didn't take very long, and we were up and running (no pun intended;0) in no time. There was an issue with the belt (It was off-center). However, after having a service technician come out, all was well.
The programs are nice and you should find something that suits your fitness level. I am surprised by how many choices you have. The only downside (and why I didn't give this machine 5 stars) is that you can't enter your weight or age (for any of the programs) which play a role in true calorie burn. Also, you can't increase the time on the pre-programmed workouts...or at least I haven't figured out how. It's too bad as, to me, a half hour just doesn't seem to be enough.
For the price, the machine is very sturdy and quiet. It doesn't feel cheap, even when you set the incline to the highest setting. I never feel like "I better take it easy". Granted, we've only been using the machine for about a month, but that machine gets about 3 to 3.5 hours of use per day. If it's still going strong after 6 months of this, I have a feeling it's going to be a very wise investment.
I haven't had a chance to use the IFit program, but I intend to do so. The fan is okay, but it's not great. It does the trick because I don't get overly heated during workouts. Plus our machine is in a room where there's a ceiling fan.
The jack for the IPod models works well and the speakers aren't that bad. If you like music with a lot of bass, however, you're going to be a bit disappointed. The speakers aren't of that high of quality to give a good bass sound. It sounds kind of muffled. A few of the songs on my IPod have a lot of bass to them and they didn't sound as rich. However, changing the playback option on my IPod did the trick.
I also can't report on the folding feature of the machine as a component needs to be replaced, so the machine has to stay in its flat position. I don't mind as I probably wouldn't fold up the machine because where it's located, I don't need the space that it's taking up.
I highly recommend this machine based on its cost (I can't lie. We paid a considerable amount less than what's advertised on this site); its features; and the quality of the machine. It's truly worth the money.

Do not buy Reebok
By Sherrie Ferguson
Update:
10/12/2011
A representative from Costco contacted us and after one month and much hassle, on the Costco rep's part with ICON Fitness, the treadmill was returned and refunded. Costco has great customer service but ICON, even in dealing with its partners, has awful customer service. Writing letters and not being willing to accept shoddy products and service worked in this case.
Update:
The new motor control did not work. From the first try after installment the treadmill did the same things. I tried calling the tech's number on 8/31 and 9/1. No reply. The letter that I had mailed to ICON I had also sent the letter to the Better Business Bureaus in Louisiana and Utah. The LA BBB was lacking in reading comprehension and thought the complaint was against Costco, though it clearly stated it was against ICON, and forwarded my letter to the BBB in Washington. On 9/1 I received a call from a person at Costco headquarters in Washington. I explained that the complaint was not against Costco at all. She said she'd call ICON right away and get them to deal with my treadmill. Shortly after we hung up a different person from ICON called me back. After going through the same diagnostic checks as before she said they'd send a new console panel out. Then she tersely told me that this was the last thing they would do for this treadmill. The new console panel arrived on 9/8 and was installed on 9/11. I used it on 9/12 and it still doesn't work properly. The treadmill sped up suddenly and then cycled through different speeds like 0.0, 0.3, etc. I am beyond frustrated at this point.
Update:
The part that the ICON tech sent out arrived on 8/15 and is now replaced in my treadmill today, 8/21. He has not called to check on it but I will test out how it works for a while. Hopefully this is the end of the problem.
Update: A week ago (7/28/2011)I wrote a letter and sent it out to ICON and others. Today (8/8/2011) I got a call from a tech at ICON who walked me through checking the panel and determined the part that may be needed, motor controller. He's sending out the part ASAP and will check back with me next week. He was very nice and knowledgeable. I really hope this part fixes the treadmill. Writing letters helps. Updates to come.
I have had my S9.80 Reebok folding treadmill for just 19 months. It was used for an average of 30 min, 3 days a week. I had it in the same spot in the living room from day one. When it was plugged in it was on a surge protector. I never sweat on or had any liquids near the console. Last week it started speeding up randomly while showing a speed of 0, then the buttons wouldn't work from time to time and just beeped. Today, after one week of that the console would come on but no longer respond. The manufacturer, after 4 unanswered emails and being on hold for 10 min on the phone, Icon Fitness would take no responsibility for a faulty product. They wanted me to pay $482 for a new console after already paying $700 just 19 months ago! A company should make a product that lasts and take responsibility for it, esp. when a customer has taken extremely good care of a product and it is no fault of the customer's.

Very good with a strong motor!
By R. Coogan
I purchased this a month ago and have been putting eight miles a day on it. So far, it shows no sign of wear and tear, and still feels as solid as the day I bought it. The speakers are on par with a portable set of speakers, but they are good enough for what I want. Some may want to stick to the headphones, however. One last thing I want to note...I noticed here Amazon is offering the 12.80 at a discount of $1,299.00 from $2,299.00. Um, I bought mine on QVC for $1,024.00. And it wasn't listed as discounted, either.
